 Collective Identity Theorists:
Stuart Hall:His  Cultural influences define the way in which we encode and decode the media we consume. Hall's theory basically suggests the encoding and decoding of youths in the media quite differently. His theory of semiotics suggests that the way we chose to encode and decode the media we consume is based on how we are brought up or are influenced by our cultural background. Cultural Background influences the way we think about how youths are portrayed in the media and how they are actually in real life.

Goffman: He states that people play different roles in different social situations which are showing importance of "Face". He also says that the web actively encourage this further construction of self for diferent audiences. He states that the social media are the ones that encourage this further construction of self for the different audiences like facebook and twitter, His theory states that people tend ti play different roles in differet situations in society which show the importance of what face they are portraying to the world and the social media are the type of media that portray them like this which influences the TV Media as the matters are stretched even further.
